    Brute Squad

    A Mainstage Sketch Team, Brute Squad won the Los Angeles Improv Comedy Festival Sketch Competition with their fast-paced, high-energy sketch comedy. As well as their original videos being featured on FunnyorDie and The Huffington Post, and being an official selection at the SF Sketchfest, they can be seen presenting a brand new show each month right here at iO West.
    It’s sketch comedy that can move your refrigerator. And protect your village.

    The Mutiny

    The Mutiny is a main stage headliner sketch team that’s true to its name. The Mutiny was formed in 2012 and has performed in the Chicago Sketch Festival and San Francisco Sketch Festival in 2013. Winner of the 2013 iO West Del Close Award for “Most Penises (Real or Fake) On Stage.” The Mutiny gives the audience everything they have. Everything.

    Tonight at iO West you have The Reckoning, otherwise known as  “hands-down, the best in Chicago” and “a versatile rock band of improvisers.” And at 10:30 you have a new show called 30% Chance of Hailey, a one woman sketch comedy show features the quirky, sometimes frightening, always hilarious characters of Lyndsay Hailey (iO Chicago, The Second City National Touring Company, iO West.)

    All three are veterans of Chicago’s Second City, and their TV and film credits as writers and actors include Saturday Night Live, Mad TV, Key & Peele, Arrested Development, Late Night With Conan O’Brien, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Community, HBO’s Funny or Die Presents, Veep, Drunk History, IFC’s The Spoils of Babylon and the feature films High Fidelity, Casa De Mi Padre and The Kings of Summer. Festival appearances include Chicago Improv Festival, L.A. Improv Fest, Austin’s Out of Bounds, and UCB NY’s Del Close Marathon.
